The Oura Ring: My top tracker
The app that helped me the most in reaching my 8,000 steps goal was the Oura Ring. What made it especially helpful was how it didn’t just track my steps, but also gave me a full picture of my daily activity and overall health. My favorite thing about it was how easy and automatic it was to use. Since I wore it all day, I didn’t have to think about tracking—everything was recorded for me, which made it easier to stay consistent. The app also gave me daily activity insights and scores, which helped me understand how active I was and motivated me to improve.
I also liked that it tracked more than just steps, like sleep and recovery, because it made me more aware of how my daily habits were connected. This made my step goal feel like part of a bigger health routine instead of just a number. Overall, the Oura Ring helped me stay accountable, aware, and consistent, which played a big role in helping me reach my 8,000 steps goal.

My advice for app users
If someone else wanted to use an app for their health goal, my biggest piece of advice would be to choose one app and stick with it. Using multiple apps can get confusing, especially if they show different data, so it’s easier to stay consistent when you rely on one main tracker. I’d also recommend picking an app that is easy to use and mostly automatic, so you don’t have to constantly think about tracking. The simpler it is, the more likely you are to actually keep using it every day.
